 The Testimony

I would like to share the story behind Blessed to Bless Boutique and our Logo. First, I want to give all the honor and praise to my Lord and Savior because all blessings and good things come from him. This dream is possible because of his answer to over a year of prayers and his guidance.

Some time ago while having a conversation with my son, he asked why a boutique mom? My response was that after a very difficult and long season in my life, the Lord had allowed me to understand that we are to live an abundant life. I am not speaking of the material but of the abundance of joy, peace, laughter, family, etc... I continued telling him that for years I worked for different companies and held many positions, but in this new season, I wanted more than a job. I wanted something that would allow me to bless others as well.When you go through a life changing event and the only one that sees you, knows you, hears you and changes you is “Jesus," you realize what really matters!

I started praying for a new opportunity- a job that I would really love. Never imagined the answer would be Blessed to Bless Boutique. The more I thought of what would really bring me joy, I would think about the times I would go to lady's conference and see other sisters selling modest clothes, I would tell myself that is something I would love to do! Think about it- what girl does not enjoy buying pretty things? I know this girl does!  

One Sunday morning I was singing and asking the Lord for a name for the boutique and Blessed to Bless came to mind. Take a moment to think about how truly blessed you are. Just the fact that you are still here and enjoying this day is a gift! I wanted a name and logo that depicts the mission of our boutique. I say "our" because my husband, my best friend and my support, is very much a part of the mission behind this boutique.

My husband was born in Honduras to a single mother of 7. While his upbringing was not lacking in love. He lived in extreme poverty. He knew what it felt to be hungry, not have a pair of shoes till the age of 10 and not enough money for the basic needs for education. I hope you can see why the name Blessed to Bless came about. For us it means sharing and giving a child an opportunity.

That is why the mission of our boutique is to help children in Central America. We have partnered with Oasis Ministry in Tela, Honduras and we will sponsor the children by providing clothes, shoes, school supplies, and so much more. The logo depicts our mission. It shows a woman with a gift and a group of kids lined up to receive their blessing.  

We truly hope and pray that you will be part of this journey! Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated and know that you will be using your blessing to help us bless a child in need.
